This is the 2nd book in a series 'whitehorse montana'. I liked it well enough to order the first book. For one of these small 'series' romances there's a lot going on and more 'action/mystery' than romance(meaning not much sex) but this one kept my interest. There's a new deputy with something major to hide, 2 grown sisters with a missing mom since they were little kids, men getting beat up outside bars, scents appearing, a dead body, a woman with bruises...so many twists and turns for such a small book of this type. and of course the suspense at the end...ok, those who are used to more 'hardcore' thrillers probably wont' thrill so much but I found this a nice read since with harlequin you pretty much get good endings one way or another! this one is worth it just for the cover pic!

A quick easy read for a Sunday afternoon. Nick comes to town with secrets and lots to hide. An unusual murder throws him in cahoots with Laney. Romance ensues. Domestic violence has an entwined story.

Nick Rogers comes to town with something to hide. For such a small area, there sure is a lot of crime. This is a simplistic story; what you see is what you get.

The crime solutions keep the reader turning pages. 3 stars
