Lorna Sass is one of my favorite cookbook authors. This book contains only about 42 recipes, but they're all winners. Ms. Sass specializes in simple recipes that don't call for 50 ingredients or take all day to prepare - most of these contain a maximum of 10 ingredients, and many call for fewer. The book is beautiful, with large photos that make you want to cook (or eat). If you don't know how to make Vietnamese spring rolls, or a decent peanut sauce, you need this book. If those are old-hand for you, you probably won't find much new here. Most of the recipes are vegan but a couple contain fish.

Lots of interesting recipes that would be helpful in transitioning someone to a diet that includes more soy protein.
