A great reference for those worried about preventing heart problems, or high cholesterol levels, weight gain or diabetes. This book also includes interesting recipes. I was able to stop taking the two diabetic medications my doctor prescribed after putting this book's suggestions into practice.

A great diet book! It works!
My doctor suggested I read this book and follow its precepts to lower my glycemic index. I've had hypoglycemia for a long time and while I mostly have it under control, I still have some problems.
I detest 'diet' books, especially since I don't need to lose weight. But this is not really a 'diet' book, in that it lets you eat most anything you want. It just tells you to avoid those foods with a high glycemic index.
So, I've been eliminating a few things and the results are that I feel ten years younger, with more energy and a more positive outlook, as I'm avoiding the depressing blood sugar lows.
