Robyn Carr has always been one of my favorites but for some reason this particular book was focused not only with Mac and Gina but also with Cooper and Sarah, almost half of the story is relating to them.

It's still a good story and was a fast read.

This is the 2nd book in the Thunder Point Series and from the back cover blurb youd think this was Mac and Ginas story. Towards the end in the last book, The Wanderer, their relationship as best friends FINALLY turned romantic. In this book their relationship is moving along when Macs ex turns up for the first time in 10 years and Ginas daughter suffers one blow after the other. Mac and Gina have a lot to deal with in this story.

Sarah and Cooper, the couple from the first book, feature heavily in this book, too. In fact, this is just as much their story as it is Mac and Ginas. Their romance is also doing wonderfully but life ends up throwing both of them a curve ball and they end up having a lot to deal with as well. There is some teenage drama with all of their kids and it just added to the realism of the story for me.

I stayed up until one in the morning to finish this story. There is simply so much going on with each character, I couldnt and I wouldnt put it down. Robyn Carr is a magnificent story teller and I am really enjoying this series. I cant wait for the next one. I love how Robyn Carr makes sure everyone gets their Happily Ever After, but true to real life they have to work hard for it and to keep it.

The second in the series that takes place on the Oregon coast, Robyn Carr takes this town to the next level and I couldn't even predict what she was going to do with this great cast of characters. This book gave each of the characters in the town a focus and storyline to move them all forward a little. I was glad to have more depth than just the surface area of learning the people and the town like the first book.

Obviously it will be worth it if it saves the life of a teen, but I personally don't want the community mental health brochure regurgitated in my romance novel! I want to read about the growing love of a couple, not sexting, bullying, depression, and steroid abuse. Maybe I would have been more invested in these characters if I had started at book one, but as it was the story felt disjointed and I couldn't really connect with the leads. I have another book by this author on my keeper shelf - hopefully this one was just an aberration.

Not my usual kind of book, I usually read murder mysteries. I got the book for my step mom and had run out of my kind of books. That being said, for this type of genre I did not mind the read.

I'm reading this series like a mad woman! This is the fourth book I have read in the Thunder Point series, and I know I am reading them out of order. It doesn't matter. Each story has the characters we have become familiar with in previous stories. Mac and Gina and their daughters are the main focus of this book, but Cooper, Sarah and Landon are also featured, and we meet Spencer and his son Austin. I just finished this one, and started my next book, and Spencer is already engaged to another character from Thunder Point, so I figure I am out of order somehow! But it hasn't seemed to matter. I think she needs to do an episodic TV program with this series. I really enjoy her writing!

I love this author but something is very wrong. This book had so much going on it could of been two or three different stories. There was also no romance until the end. I missed the virgin river series.
