I really liked the Penny character. She is such a responsible older sister - always doing what is best for everyone to the point that she is almost boring. She is definitely the "good" daughter! It's when she gives in to her own desires and starts a relationship with Joe that she comes to life. She is willing to suffer heartache for a short time with Joe. By taking that big chance, she and Joe truly grow and find what they are missing in their lives. The mystery of Penny's father's death is an integral part of the book, but the relationships hold the book. I liked Lia, Penny's sister and she deserves her own story!

Book was just okay for me !
Very, very good!! Love Marliss Melton... love her SEALs. Nice to see that men don't have to be "perfect" and the ladies don't have to be petite, model thin and extremely beautiful. Author did a great job of making these ordinary people who happen to face some (very fictional) danger. Loved it!

Great book. Sweet girl and bad boy next door. I'm not sure how I did it but I managed to read this book from beginning to end in a matter of 6 hours. I'm a fast reader but that might be a record for me. I just couldn't bring myself to put it down!
This is an excellent book!!! I love anything to do with Navy Seal books or other books that have men in the service. It was also cute that Penny was the last person you would expect Joe, the playboy, to hook up with. I loveed it!
This was not my favorite of the books. It was good but not great.
There are two romances in one. One romance for each of the sisters.
It felt like each character set got half of the attention it needed. The plot went in fits and starts.

Navy SEAL Lt. Commander Joe Montgomery is having trouble coping with the death of several Navy SEALs under his command. He is not sleeping and is drowning his guilt in alcohol. His neighbor, Penny Price, notices his injuries and begins asking him questions. Joe puts her off with a cold shoulder, but that doesn't last long when he discovers Penny is his new physical therapist. As Joe and Penny get to know each other, he learns that someone is harassing Penny and her younger sister, Lia. They believe Eric Tomlinson killed their father five years ago. Eric is calling Penny and leaving threatening messages. When someone breaks into her apartment, Joe takes it upon himself to provide protection for her and her sister until Eric is caught.
I found the fourth book in Melton's Navy SEALs Team Twelve series very interesting. It has a tortured hero and a heroine who has a long standing crush on him. There is also a secondary romance with Lia and a younger Navy SEAL. The suspense story with the death of the girls' father and the theft of Ricin was very well done. I wasn't sure who was behind it until the end of the book. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

FANTASTIC!!! I couldn't put it down.
I thought when I started this it would be a good thriller, but alas it is just another romance, the main storyline(if it has one) just doesn't develop as the book goes along, it is just about the 2 sisters and their romances, then you get a little of the mystery thrown in - for what? I didn't finish it by half way just because I got tired of just reading a romance.
