Yikes - I couldn't even get through the author's note at the beginning of the book - I hope SOMEONE will enjoy it! I did not even read it...

Not my favorite Saint Germaine novel, but still an excellent read. This novel takes place around 800 A.D. and follows Saint Germaine as he travels in Europe for a King. He also meets up with Olivia in Rome, which I was happy about. The book is definitely fast paced though it has over 500 pages. It is also filled with the history of the time which I find interesting and always love. I did get confused at one point in the novel, but all in all I recommend this book highly.

For those of you who follow le Comte I just wanted to say that this book is one of the books that haunted me for a little while. I really felt for the female lead character and remembered her for a long time. Definitely, one of my favorites.
