I enjoyed this book. It did start out slow but the storyline picked up. The cast of characters play well off each other. There was a lot going on in the book but it all fell in place by the end of the story. The way the book ends sets up the next one in the series. Definitely recommend this one.

A story with so many similarities to others that it doesn't stand out. The character, who is part Demon, works for an agency that investigates paranormal doings. She attracted to the super powered "bad guy" and her boss tries to kill her even though she channels Anita Blake. If you have nothing better to read, this book has potential with later additions, if the author can smooth out her story telling skills.

Just couldn't get into this book. The author goes into way too much unnessicary detail at the begining. A lot of the world set-up could have been put off until later in the book, where it might have fit in more naturally and felt less like the main character was giving a tour.

None of the characters grabbed my attention and the story certainly didn't either. I might have had a better time staying interested if they had let me know why so much attention was given to an apparently routine dead vampire.

A bit to much tech information but the story was good. It gives some new twists to how demons work. It keeps you guessing. In the end you are left with more questions then answers. I am looking forward to the next book.

This was a complex little book. I really enjoyed it. The author has some interesting ideas about demons and AIDS. The story was fast paced, but it does set to up to want to read the second book in the series. So be sure to get both :)
