Author of the Prey series moves to Los Angeles. Plenty of action, a bit gory at times (typical Sanford) and an ending not quite what you might have anticipated. A good read.

Good book. Not of the Prey series, but still good. A very tense story, which Sandford is known for and very interesting characters.

A action packed fast read! The ending confused me. The last chapter makes no sense to me!

This was a different kind of book with characters doing a different kind of work! This "crew" worked nights roaming the city streets, looking for stories to film and sell to the tv stations. Things change drastically when one of their own is murdered and it looks like the killer is coming after all of them! Great book!

I've read a couple of his "Prey" books, but this one was good too, with a likeable central character in Anna, and a nice twist regarding the identify of the murderer.

GREAT read, I fell in love with Sandford and have yet to find one of his books as being no good, or boring! Attention grabber for sure!

Interesting story of how new stories are found, taped and sold to the media. Usual excellent suspense.

Not my favorite Sandford book. Good story, but I prefer a different character. The night crew is a mobile unit of video freelancers that catch street crime on film and sell the news footage to the highest bidders.

I don't remember the whole plot, but do recall it was an exciting mystery/thriller.

Bestselling author John Sandford takes all the action and suspense of his acclaimed Prey novels and heads west to the dark gleam of L.A.--where the Night Crew works. A mobile unit of video freelancers, they prowl the midnight streets to sell to the highest network bidder. Murders. Robberies. High-speed chases. For them, it is an exhilerating life. But tonight, two deaths will change everything.

Amazon.com review
Anna Batory's evening starts with a frenzied animal rights raid and then moves quickly to the site of a suicide jump. It's all in a normal night's work for Anna, who leads the Night Crew, a freelance video team out to make a quick buck on sensational footage they can sell to L.A. news stations. But this night is different: the jumper is a teenager named Jacob Harper, and Anna's cameraman Jason beats a strangely hasty exit after filming the jump. A few hours later, Jason too is dead: shot and knifed.
