This is a really good read that transports us to 1961 East Berlin when the Iron Curtain went up and the years that followed for those trapped there. I absolutely loved the ending. This is a keeper I will pass down to my granddaughter. It will make you appreciate the little things we take for granted.
Really great book. My daughter bought this for me at her Book Fair at her Middle School. Even though it is a Scholastic, it was one heck of a read. I was on the edge of my seat towards the end. I hate what these families had to go through with that Berlin Wall but in the end, it came down. I highly recommend this to the young and the old.
