I think Nelson DeMille has mellowed with age, or at least doesn't take himself or his characters as seriously. It's about the crash of TWA Flight 800 off of Long Island in 1996.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a fictional account of TWA flight 800. It is very well written. Once I got into it, I couldn't put it down. The author was very clever at entwining the account of flight 800 with the events of Sept. 11, 2001. This book is a work of fiction, or is it?.....
This book is about the TWA flight 80 that went down under mysterious conditions. Although the ending is stated to be a fiction, it was never truly discovered why this plane appeared to be shot out of the sky by an earth to sky missile. I could not put this book down. Now I am a sucker for a good conspiracy theory story, but this book has it all. Great weekend book for just kicking back and reading cover to cover!
