Very disjointed and lacking a plot, this book was beyond a quick read. I ended up skimming a good part of it because it was redundant, too fluffy (even for a romance book), and seemed like a rough draft instead of a finished work. It's a shame, though, because I'm a fan of Nina Bangs, especially enjoying the cheeky campiness she brings to her books.
Helpful Score: 2
As usual, a rather clever concept by the author. However, I felt like the book was 'padded' to make it longer and the plot was weak for a full length novel. Still, it was entertaining and enjoyable reading.

Some great characters...loved Katy! and the Old One. Ninna Bangs has a fantastic imagination...aiways a twist or two that catch you off guard. Enjoy

He is the MVP of the futures hottest sport.
In the year 2502, sex is a spectator sport, and Brian Byrne is its undisputed champion. He plays with a passion for the game, never for the woman. So why does he feel burned out, used up, and in need of a vacation? A few weeks in a simpler time where he doesnt have to think about sex sounds great.
She wants a perfect night of pleasure.
Ally ONeill is having a career crisis. She is the best-selling author of a series on how to be the perfect wife. She is also recently divorced, so her perfect wife theory obviously needs fine-tuning. Her publisher now wants Ally to write about a night of sexual pleasure from a single womans perspective.
What does she know about sex and todays single woman? Nothing. Ally requires a consultant with sex-god credentials.
Ally and Brian meet in 2002 beside the ruins of an Irish castle. Ally believes she needs Brian for only one night, but soon realizes she wants him to be her forever-man. Brian thinks no woman can tempt him, but Ally quickly has him trying to renegotiate the no-sex clause in his contract.
In a world where no one has ever heard of the Testosterone Titans, Brian is about to discover that scoring is a lot less fun than falling in love.

Okay, so it was a bit hokey, but all in all, a cute romance. Great-Aunt Katy was a hoot and stole the show with her ghost-hunting antics.
I loved this book. It was funny and had some interesting characters. If I hadn't had kids to care for I would have devoured it in one sitting.
Not one of my favorites from this author (liked High Intensity and High Energy more), but it was not a total loss. The whole sex/athlete thing was a bit stupid but I did like the great aunt (Katy) who was the comic relief.
not bad, the plot however was lacking
Disappointing effort from Ms. Bangs. I expected some good erotica, but it was soooo boring I ended up skimming 3/4 of the book just to get to the end, & even that was predestined. I enjoy this author, but this was a very poor example of her work. Pass.
