This book is very well written, thought provoking, and insightful. I thought this was THE Titanic book to read if you wanted any reliable information...
However, I have recently discovered there is more to the story that has surfaced in the last few years that Walter Lord could not have known when he wrote A Night to Remember and the Night Lives On.
I do not hold the fact against him, and will continue recommending this book to my friends. However, I will be sure to add that there is more and less to the story than this author can give, and the Titanic should be researched from many sources.

Absolutely an excellent book! Very impressive the amount of research Lord has done. Wonderful look at all the things needed to be considered when you study the Titanic. Incredible read!
A dramatic sequel to "A Night to Remember" the all time classic account of the Titanic disaster.
... The length of the gash in the Titanic was 3 foot fields long... just one of the interesting facts in the book. I liked it a lot.
This is a good book. I've always been fascinated by the Titanic and was quite pleased with this book, as it gave me a different perspective on things. I recommend this book to anyone.
