Very fun series. The interaction between the socialite mom and, Andy - aka Andrea - her go-her-own-way daughter is sometimes tense but always with loving undertones. As the series moves along, their relationship develops (but still holds it cantankerous appeal). Andy's boyfriend holds appeal, though this book is not the strongest of the bunch. You might want to read Blue Blood first for background on the characters and how they met.

Andy Kendricks is a very different Southern Belle - she shruggs off social functions whenever possible, avoids the entanglements of her scheming mother, and dotes on her quiet, reserved boyfriend, Brian Malone. But now the cops are after Malone because her straight arrow beau was seen leaving a sleazy "gentleman's club" with an stripper who is now the city's latest murder victim.
