This is the second book in the night trilogy. It was very good, about Knight Winthrop and Lily Tremaine.

Great story! Knight Winthrop is caught unawares by his three orphanied neices/nephews and his cousin's fiance. All his friends think its a hoot because Knight had been swearing he wouldn't get married until he was 40 and he hated kids. Lily is afraid she'll be seperated from the kids so they tell everyone that the cousin married her and the youngest kid is hers.

This is book 2 in the Night Trilogy, originally published in 1989. Coulter presents Knight Winthrop as the studly center of his own universe,simple and happy. She then inserts the beautiful widow of a favorite cousin, his 3 children and a few nasty characters in hot pursuit of same. Knight evolves in a warm, funny story about growing up at any age. The copy I have has a different cover.
My book has a different cover, but numbers are the same. Very good story, my second read and both were interesting.
