Suspense throughout and hope as well. From start to finish I was anxious to return to the pages. Was hoping for a closing final chapter but looks like this is the lead-in for the next novel.. Never boring.
I didn't realize until I finished listening to this audiobook that this was part one and there's another book as part two. No wonder it ended so weird and so fast. I've ordered the second part now, and hoping it will all make more sense. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and this one is not even close to being a favorite so far. I'm hoping part two will redeem the story a little bit. Feeling a bit disappointed.

Great book but the ending doesn't resolve the plot.

The version of the book I listened to on CD was abridged, which left holes in the ending of the story. However, I found the storyline to be weak, so I won't bother reading the whole book just to pick up the missing pieces. It seems to me that the story revolved more around the main characters than the crime and the solving of said crime. Not at all what I like in my mystery novels. If I want romance, I'll read a romance novel. I want mystery, suspense, and something to keep me on the edge of my seat. Too bad, as the story itself had possibilities. I would, however, recommend this book to someone who likes mysteries, but doesn't like violence, graphic scenes, or fast-paced action.
