This is the third in the Protectors series and follows Mike and his ladylove, Chloe.

Hmmm...what to say about this book. It's typical LMR fare. In fact just about the exact formula as the other books in this series: tortured hero find the mostest perfect heroine ever. She's beautiful, delicate, ladylike, and he wants to f*ck her brains out whenever he lays eyes on her, no matter where they may be. He also figures out he wants to marry this paragon of femaledom within the first five minutes of meeting her.

Honestly, this may the the last LMR book I read unless I can check out from the library. I get so worn down by by the histrionics of the hero, that I am utterly exhausted by the last page.

Add to that, the redundant phrases and constant inner dialogue, mostly from the hero, and you have yourself a very boring book. It's sad and not true (as much) of her earlier titles from Ellora's Cave. I think in this case with a big publisher she is just trying to fill the required page number.

Enjoyable conclusion to the Protectors series. The storyline was action-packed as usual, but too much time was devoted to the dangerous-Russians subplot. I felt it detracted from Chloe and Mike's romance. Still, worth the read to find out how all the other brothers and their wives turned out. Four stars.

Third story in the "Protectors" trilogy by LMR which is the story of Chloe (aka Crissy) and Mike. Chloe is Harry's supposed dead baby sister grown up (Harry's story was the 2nd book in this trilogy).

I was shocked when Mike told Chloe to remain in his condo for her safety and was steeling myself for the typical "you can't tell me what to do" and then have a whole chapter dedicated to that argument....but was shocked when she said 'ok'.

Anyway, for me it was the best book in the series.

Ok, so this is the third installment of the Protectors series. It was my favorite. I loved Mike. Big, strong, Ex-Marine. Tortured, but fiercely protective and loyal. Whats not to love?

A couple things bothered me though. Im not sure if its just because i read all three of these back to back but....do they all HAVE to end the same way? Spoilers......What seems like a rushed marriage proposal, and babies, babies, and more babies. At the end of ALL three of the books. UGH. Just a little bit annoying. And in all three books, before the first sex scene it seems that they have almost identical condom conversations. This just drove me nuts.
