This is a really good, really honest look at men and relationships. It tells women to stop wasting time on men that don't appreciate them. It boosts the self-esteem of anyone who reads it, and the writers speak from their own experience, not from a psychological point of view.

I really wanted to read this after seeing him on Oprah... a year later it was a let down pretty much chapter after chapter of the same thing. That was probably the point, sometimes guys aren't into you get over it and move on. There aren't 100 explanations or ways to analyze their behavior it just made for a redundant read. It is a great book to give to someone who just can't get it through their head that sometimes he's just not that into you!

Not a book for me. It felt repetitive and at times too silly to even be funny. The phrase "He's just not that into you" can become very annoying after the first few chapters. However it is a fun read with all the little letters written for advice and his funny (or supposed to be funny) responses to them. Probably something fun to read with a friend so you can laugh at the situation and possibly even the advise.

I thought this book was funny! Even though most of the scenerios layed out in the book could be solved by applying common sense, it was a hilarious quick read. There were a few scenerios I read and said to myself "hmmm that was the same excuse I used for so-and-so...". Get this book if for no other reason than to re-affirm that you are a worthwhile female that deserves a real relationship that can go somewhere, or just get it to have a funny, laugh-out-loud read...Sex in the City fans will appreciate!

Unlike annoying self help books that throw jargon, sappy rhetoric, and uselss mumbo jumbo/ pity parties, this author uses humor and real life examples (letters from readers/individuals) to prove his point. It may be a little redundant at times, but for the girl in denial, sometimes redundant is what is necessary. While you won't find any deep psychological explanations or the answers to love, you will get a laugh, and you will learn if "he's just not into you".
I was in a relationship with a seemingly great "poor me" type of guy who wouldn't say the "L" word because his heart had been broken. So a friend gave me this book and of course there is a chapter in there about guys who can't say the L word...."BECAUSE THEY'RE JUST NOT INTO YOU", it hit home and was pretty precise. I kicked myself in the butt and then kicked his out the door :).
The book features funny stories about other girls with relationship issues who are just making excuses for the guy and in denial about things, and how the right guy is out there but you won't find him if your still wasting time on the wrong one. All in all this is a great book to subtly give to your girlfriends and daughters in bad relationships. It is so funny, that a friend won't stay mad for long :)

It might seem strange that I rated this three stars when I didn't finish it. I did that because this is one of those books that I can tell could actually *maybe* help people. Namely women. And believe me, I know women that, if they listened, could be helped by some of the info here in this book. So, I gave it the three because of that.
But, I don't need it. I don't let guys walk on me, I don't allow them to play games, and I don't sleep with random men for the hell of it and then think I'm their girlfriend. So, in essence, I guess I'm not in need of this.
I wasn't sure if this was real self-help or humor but after reading what I did I see that it's both. I had a little fun reading the first 10 or 20 "letters" to Liz and Greg and Greg's answers were snarky and humorous which I loved. But in the end, if you don't really need the help it gets old.
I will say this, in my estimate, going from the women I've know and know now, I'd have to say about 95% of them won't listen to a bit of advice given here. They're too far gone. I say we start handing this to middle school girls. Maybe then they'll be saved from a life of low self-esteem and letting some asshole walk all over them

Some of the reviews here take for granted the advice given in this book, but a notable mention in one of the most successful T.V. series of all time ("Sex and the City") and a full-length feature film with well-known actors should be enough to make us think about its popularity. Yes, it's true that AFTER you finally are in a monogamous and committed relationship the advice in this book sounds like "Duh!, of course, as IF..." (etc., etc., etc.) but the thing is that when you're still navigating the shark-infested waters of -what appears to be- permanent singledom, few other books can be as clear and honest as this one. It is not necessary to analyze guys to death. They give very clear signals, and this book will help you drill these into your brain.

Fun to listen to their advice. Confidence boosting. You don't have to settle for being treated badly and yes, there are better men out there! A guy shares his view of what other guys mean by their behavior and words, usually if they aren't being nice to you it means "he's just not that into you". Kind of enlightening in a silly, funny sort of way. Entertaining and enjoyable, even if sometimes you cringe as you recognize those bad relationships you clung to for too long or that idiot ex-boyfriend you thought was so great at the time.
