This was book five in the Nightwalker series and I thoroughly enjoyed it but it also left me a bit confused. The beginning was excellent and I really enjoyed the interaction between Kestra and Noah. I did not find her inability to love a trait that seemed flawed given her ability to read his mind. Many people may know that they are loved but are still unable to find love within themselves to give. To me, this book was a great bounce back from Damien which was nothing of what I expected given how powerful and unique the characters were. What confused me the most is how this is the end of the series? There was nothing about Ruth who was such a formidable character in the first four books, and it seemed like there were more chracters in need of development. I was especially hoping for a hint of who Jasmine may become mated with, if there is a story for her. I really hope that this is not the end of the series and that it continues in the future. All in all, I think it is a great read.

An excellant ending to an outstanding series, beginning with Jacob. The series is a new take on the paranormal with exciting characters, new ideas and situations. If you are a fan of JR Ward or Sherrilyn Kenyon, check into this series. You won't be disappointed.

Amazingly good series! Even with all that Noah goes through it still turned out rather well - there are only two things i really didn't care for about this series. 1 is that the 'demon' Ruth was never caught or stopped by the end of Noah's book (she may have been caught or stopped in the shadowdweller series i don't know i could never get into that series.) and 2 the vampire jasmine - they hint in Damien's book that her life was going to end up changing and for the better and it is also hinted that her mate would most likely be a shadowdweller but i have found no books concerning jasmine as of yet - and i have tried hunting in the shadowdweller series as well. I dislike that jasmine has been left hanging like a loose end - she is a decent character and i think it would be nice if she did have a book. other than that the nightwalkers series is a series i would highly recommend!

Another excellent read in the Nightwalkers Series, I really enjoyed this book, and was happy to see that Noah finally found a mate. I believe that Jacquelyn Frank has a new series coming out in Feb 09 called the Shadowdwellers, another of the Nightwalker breed so hopefully we will see the villainess Ruth finally meet her demise. All in all I loved the whole series and Ms Frank has done a excellent job. Cant wait to read more.

The 5 books of the Nightwalkers and 3 books of Shadowdwellers are a must read, as they tie so well together!

Another dissapointing effort from Frank. This series had so much potential and Jacob really is a ground breaking paranormal romance. However like the other Nightwalker books, Noah lacks excitement and any real connection between the main characters. There are interesting parts to the book and the beginning is actually quite good. However the main tension between the characters (Kestra's inability to love) seems contrived and very fake. I mean if she can read her mate's mind there can be no basis for mistrust or apprenhension. By the end of this seemingly endless book I was mostly skimming just to finish it. Hopefully Frank's up coming Shadowdweller books can breathe new life to this series because right now it is very dead.

Noah is the 5th and last in the Nightwalkers series and, I think, the best. Noah is a fire demon and the king of the demon world. This book effectively ties the other 4 in the series together. I found myself relieved that Noah has found his mate and unable to put this book down until I had read the last page. I hope Jacquelyn Frank expands her worlds to include all the unknown eluded to in this series and the Shadowdweller series.

This fifth book of the series is, perhaps, my favorite. Noah is king of the Demon nation, the only male fire demon in the world, and yet, his uniqueness and power do not help him cope with the issues of convincing a human/Druid woman of his worth as a mate or even as a "man." It is his personality, warmth, and compassion that she responds to which removes the need for a super-hero and replaces it with the need for truly obtainable values in a man. As the series progresses, more and more of the earlier couples are added to the story as the time for a confrontation with Ruth and her minions draws closer. This joining of the various Nightwalkers is very satisfying especially the first look at Windsong's world and that of the Shadowdwellers. I also find it interesting that Ms Franks seems to hold Noah in high regard, too, seeming not to be ready to unduly invade his privacy.

Of all the books in this series this one was by far the best. Absolutely in love with Noah and his passion.

I read the other 4 in this series, and couldn't wait for this one to be released. I must admit that I was disappointed that this book didn't seem to live up to the previous books. It was the final book in this series, but didn't resolve a lot of the issues (Ruth etc) that were throughout the other books. Still a good read, but not as good as hoped.

If this is the last book of the series, then I'm pretty disappointed in the ending. If there will be another book, then I think it was very good. As usual, the romance scenes were very hot and steamy, but not lewd. The lead female was not incredibly like-able for me, but I can see her improving and I can easily predict how her future powers will be used.....if there is another book!

Not what I expected. It was a so-so book.

Noah was the 5th book in Jacquelyn Frank's series. I feel there must be a 6th one in the makes
as the "bad" guy did not get her come upin's. All five were terrific. Loved Jacob, Elijah and Noah
the best but the other two were at least a 4 1/2 star. If you are into romantic "nightwalker" things,
these are terrific.

This book was awful. It was extremley slow in the beginning and this Noah character was boring. I could not get passed chapter 6. Just complete nonesense.

This was my favorite book in the series even though it was longer. Definately need to read series in order to get the references to previous characters and situations.

Long and slow going. I guess if you want a romance, it has that. But I was more interested in the Nightwalker world. Nothing about Ruth and Nico, although rogue vampires made it slightly interesting. The main characters lacked spark and heat. Funny, since fire and explosives are their elements. Better than Damien, but long way from Jacob, which was the best book. Jacob sizzled.
Will wait for her Night' book which will be about Jazmine. I hope Jaz kicks a--!

Oddly I found this to be the best of the series. It appealed to fans of the series such as myself by checking in with past characters, while being careful not to detract from the central couple.

The Plot:

Noah, the king of the Demon race, decides to seek out his Imprinted mate, or soul mate. With the help of the Druid Corrine, he finds her--only to discover that her life is filled with pain and danger. Kestra is a mercenary bomber who leads a thrill seeking life that covers a shadowed past. She is not immediately thrilled at being plucked from that life by Fire Demon Noah, but she quickly learns that she cannot deny her passion, or her emotional connection, for him.

It was never boring. The plot just kept going, from perilous situation to emotional turmoil to hot sex. It's not a book you want to put down.

Noah is an extremely sexy and appealing character. He has a lot of deep emotion, charisma, wisdom, and strength-and it is all evident in this story. Kestra is fairly interesting as well, being a very independent and feisty woman.

Thematically, the book addresses a lot of common emotional issues. For example, Kestra has trouble trusting, and more importantly trouble loving. Her pain easy to relate to. The resolution of this ongoing problem is believable.

I would recommend this book to any Jacquelyn Frank fans as a stunning addition to a wonderful series.

I was really excited knowing this book would eventually be made ,but it did not meet my expectations. I expected a better woman for the great king and I didn't expect him to lose his mind. I still think Elijah is the best and look forward to her next series shadowdwellers.

Was a bit better than books 3 and 4 in the series. I did not think this was the end of the series, still a lot of characters left that could go forward, but she may need a break from it all to get some new energy/life. Too many interracial/interspecies marriages in a short period of time, making it all seem ho-hum. After the 5th in a group of close friends/allies, seems like it is happening to everyone. This book started out differently with the months of dreams and then a very shocking event, but then followed a more predictable formula for the rest of the novel.

The Demon King Noah finds his mate but she is not altogether about being a mate! A band of rogue vamps are killing Nightwlkers and drinking their blood to gain powers.

Four Stars
