My twelve year old son read this book. He said that it was well written, fast-paced & exciting. The characters were interesting and there was a lot of action and adventure. He has not read the first book yet, but did not find this to be a hindrance to understanding what was going on.
Love the Wingfeather Saga! A must read for any fantasy or adventure book lover. Well developed characters, interesting story, a good balance between heavy and light moments. I love Andrew Peterson's writing and find him extremely clever, thought provoking, and interesting.
