Loved this book so much that I read it in one sitting. While not a sequel, it does bring back some characters from "The Leaving of Liverpool", many years later which is a treat if you are familiar with that book, but it will not affect your enjoyment if you haven't read that book. This book had very much of a Maeve Binchy feel to it and I found it to be a hugely enjoyable, satisfying read.
