You may think me a khokhem be-layle, but I have trouble following all of the intricacies of his language explanations; he claims that we goyim use schmooze in just the opposite way it's meant to be used, but his explanation suggests to me it's the same. Perhaps it's because he's from the Southern Albertan offshoot of Canadian Hasidic tradition, or (as he says in the introduction) his book Born to Kvetch should really be read first.
