This mathematically-themed book includes interesting color illustrations. The illustrations add to the playfulness of the book and help educate the reader to what the boy in the story is experiencing. The main character hates math and feels like it is just a jumble everytime he tries to tackle it. The number devil comes to him in his dreams to help explan such mathematical terms as exponents, infinity, and prime numbers. Although written at the middle school level, it is a great read for all ages and can help explain, in simple terms, those concepts may of us have struggled with for years. This book gave me a better understanding of historical figures like Euclid and Pythagarus and gave me a boost in my confidence relating to mathmatical concepts.
