As engaging and well written as the first, Call the Nurse. MacLeod pokes gentle fun at the people but she does so lovingly.
If you enjoyed the first, you'll enjoy this one, too.
The tiny flaw, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars, is because she skips several years towards the end. She brings us up to date on things but we don't live it with her. I wish she hadn't skipped that time.
