Our heroine is a small town librarian. She has never married. She has a twin sister. Neither sister is close. Her life changes drastically when her niece dies in an accident. She goes to the funeral to support her sister. Her sister leaves her nephew with her. Her sister is so filled with grief, that she just wants to go away to mourn alone. The small town librarian forges a relationship with the little boy and meets a man who could well be the man of her dreams. She and her sister have a chance to start over, and are starting to build a relationship, when she finds out the man that she loves had at one time been in love with her sister. Although this was a decent book, I thought our small town librarian spent way too much time, feeling sorry for herself, and being jealous of her sister. She almost ruins the relationship of a lifetime through her insecurities and petty jealousies. The former relationship between her sister and her lover, was not only long over, but one that had happened long before she had met the man that she might be able to spend the rest of her life with, if she can let go, forgive, and forget.
