Started out great but went way downhill. I couldn't get over his arrogant and cave man like attitude.

I found with CC it's either a nice hit, or a TOTAL miss. This one was a spectacular miss.

Let's see. Heroine compromised, hero marries her. The "hero" sleeps with his mistress on his wedding night, and continues the relationship with said mistress. "Heroine" kicks him in groin - and then runs away. When he comes after her, she apologises for kicking him in the groin - "Oh I know my behviour was reprehensible etc etc". Sheesh. I don't know who I wanted to clobber more. Needless to say, with neither one of the two main characters showing any personality whatsoever, I did not enjoy this book.

If you've read one Coulter, you've pretty much read all her plot devices. Expect a rape scene, horrible sexual experiences for the women and the man not being able to control himself, and someone gets the fever and needs to be nursed back to health.

I actually don't mind that Philip was such a gigantic ass and lived with such a double standard. It helped that he was such a good person when he was taking care of Sabrina during her illness. I did have a hard time with how easily Philip won Sabrina back. But I guessed Coulter wanted to really show how horrible things were back then for women.

It's not her best work. Some of the dialogue and lines were pretty sweet or funny. Okay read.
