i am a huge kathy griffin fan. a long time viewer of the d list, been to the laugh factory, kodak theater, have her dvd. could not wait to read her book but i was not blown away by it. i dont know what i expected, but it was just okay. still a fan. just struggled through the book at times. the whole woz chapter went on way too long and was quite boring, needed some narration from kathy to make sense of it all. glad i read it but would not rave about it.

Hysterically funny, acerbic, no-holds-barred.... Kathy Griffin lets it ALL hang out in this candid and surprisingly touching memoir. Refreshingly, Griffin does not need to tell about her past drug or alcohol abuse, because there wasn't any. Instead, she shares her relentless, decades-long struggle to succeed in show biz and reveals some of the casualties she left in her wake. Could not stop reading once I started. Loved it.

If you like Kathy's stand-up comedy and her show "Life on the D List," then you'll love this book. As usual, Kathy is hilarious, no-holds barred, but somehow manages to get into personal and dark areas while keeping the overall tone of the book funny. I think I've seen and heard everything that Kathy has done, but I never felt like the book was repeating her stand-up or TV show. There are a few familiar stories in the book, but she retells and adds details to make them fresh.
My 2 favorite chapters...one on her brother, a substance abuser and child molester, whose actions caused a serious rift in the family; the other is the chapter on Kathy's brief relationship with Steve Wozniak, which consisted mainly of emails between the two. I came away from the book realizing that Kathy Griffin is extremely driven and she has worked very hard to become a success.

This book has all the gossip Hollywood groupies could ever hope for. A couple of sections had me laughing out loud, and it is typical Kathy Griffin. If you are offended by curse words and some pretty weird sexual situations, do not bother. I enjoyed it thoroughly

I always love Kathy, she's super funny, and though I knew a lot of this info from watching her show, the things she shared about her childhood and what happened in her marriage were just so sad. I love her even more!

Kathy Griffin loves to dish it out and we love to hear it. Thankfully in this book she gets personal and we still love to hear it. It proves how hard Kathy works and has worked to just get on the "D" list. Her tales of her youth, family, and early years in Hollywood are fantastic. I laughed so hard. And though some times may have been hard for her she is having the last laugh now.

If you love Kathy Griffin you will love this book. It's full of hilarious stories written the same way she tells her stand-up.
I loved this book! It's so much like her comedy that it's a really quick read. Definitely get a copy if you find her funny.

Funny, well-written, believable memoir. Never watched her show, but after this, I will give it a try.
