The story is interesting, fast-paced, and has a complex plot that kept me guessing. I enjoyed learning something about the world of antique dealing, and also a bit of Norse lore. In fact, the book has started me looking for more archaeological mysteries by the same author.

I liked this a lot. at first i wasn't crazy about the writing style but i loved the descriptions of orkney - it was like being there, and that is what i really bought the book for. also the actual mystery was very good - very well done and well-put together and well-plotted.
