This book is "okay." I read about half of it, before I realized that every story is the same or had been heard before. I don't know whether my life is just not very glamorous (or magickal?) but I had a hard time believing EVERYTHING I read. I was looking for more stories about family reactions and what was done or said to promote acceptance and understanding.

Perhaps the real problem lies in the definitions. There is a difference in a religion and a belief in magic. For me, my religion is Wicca, but I just happen to also practice magic. I believed in and did magic before I had a definition for my religion. But they are separate.

So, when you "come out of the broom closet," are you telling others that your belief in God has expanded beyond Christianity/other and your view of a deity is different? Or are you saying you practice magic?
