I listened to an audio of this book while I was recovering from a detached retina. The Kincaid brothers are introduced. Each has his own unique personality. Rafe is the eldest and tries to tell everyone else what to do. When he saves Julia who is trapped in one of the tunnels in the caves on their property, it leads to an adventure in love. Julia's pa is not a good person and has stolen something. Now he is lying low and dodging the men looking for him and the stolen treasure. Julia is concerned for her pregnant step-mother Audra and young step-sister Maggie. Rafe doesn't like being in the caverns because of an incident with his younger brothers Ethan and Seth when they were children. But someone trapped Julia on purpose and he needs to know who.
Again this a funny,wild Mary Connealy book. Mary does not disappoint her readers.Rafe Kincaid is a very protective rancher who needs one last look in a cavern that changed his families life 13 years ago. He finds--trapped in the cavern Julia Gilliland a crazy young woman wanting to explore the cavern for fossils.And what are fossils anyway he wants to know. There are 3 brothers in total and I can't wait to find out what happens to the other 2. If you enjoyed Mary Connealy's other books you will enjoy this series just as much.

Mary Connealy dishes up another hysterical romantic mystery. Only with Connealy can you use those 3 words in the same sentence. I laughed out loud at some of the antics her characters pulled. As with most of her books, her heroines are strong. Fighting to be their own women no matter the cost.
If youre in the mood for something fun with a little mystery thrown into the mix, try this book. :)

Im so glad I got to spend several cold, winter evenings reading Out of Control, by Mary Conneally. It is a fun story, filled with hilarious dialogue. I looking forward to the other two books of this series about the adventures of the Kincaid brothers of Colorado.
Out of Control is Book 1 in the Kincade Bride series by Mary Connealy. The series is about the Kincade brothers and their emotions regarding an incident in the cave during their youth. This book is about Rafe, who rides by the cave and hears a woman (Julia) in the cave. He helps her out and being late in the day, takes her to his home for the night. When they are almost there Julia wants him to take her home, which is on the other side of the cave from his home. Julia was in the cave exploring while her pregnant step mother and step sister were napping and got caught there, her concern is getting back to them. Julia is obsessed with the cave, believing it was made by the Great Flood with fish fossils so high on the wall.
This book introduces Rafe's other brother and Julia's family.
This is an easy book to read. The characters are a little different than I expected. I could guess what was going to happen next most of the time. I did enjoy reading this book and looked forward to getting the rest of the series.

I enjoyed this book. Even though I knew how it would end, because I've read a later book in the series, I was able to enjoy the journey of the leading characters. I relate to different aspects of each character's personality and so I found myself a champion for each at different times. As always, Mary Connealy's westerns are full of adventure and surprises. I love how she builds strength and weakness into each character. It is truly how all humans are if they are honest with themselves. Mary's tales help me to search for the hero within myself and to keep striving for what is good in me and for seeing what is good in those around me. I highly recommend this book.
