My friend turned me onto Rita Mae Brown by giving me "Bingo" to read, and she's one of my favorite authors now. If you grew up reading the "Saddle Club" series you'll love Brown's hunt club mysteries - they're like the grown up version but just as fun.

a really good read that is just a little out of the ordinary. i wish Ms.Brown would go back to this style rather than all those cat mysteries.

Another good story from R Mae Brown.
Part of a fun series that highlights fox hunting in VA and personal relationships
Fun read!
Good book :)
A Master of a prestigious hunt club, Jane Arnold, known as Sister, is most revered citizen in the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountain town where a rigid code of social conduct and deep seated tradition carries more weight than money. Nearly seventy, Sister now must select a joint master to ensure the club's future. It is an honor of the highest order- and one that any serious social climber would covet like the Holy Grail.
This book appeals to many genres...fox hunters; horse enthusiasts; animal lovers and mystery buffs. An enjoyable read.
A fun read, especially if you know about horses and fox hunting or want to learn about the sport.
This Rita Mae Brown author of the Sneaky Pie Brown Mystery series. This is not a Sneaky Pie book, but is a non-series
Thoroughly enjoyed this story. I like getting the view point of the humans and animals. An interesting murder adventure in the midst of a foxhunt. I have yet to get a chance to try foxhunting, but would love to give it a go. I was pleased to learn some foxhunting history that is woven in the story. The well established characters will have me reading the next novel.
