This is the sixth installment in the Rachel Morgan/Hollows series. The beginning of the book grabs you in, starting up where For a Few Demons More left off. Harrison is a strong author, great at evoking emotion from her readers with the written word. The world that the series takes place in is believable, though fantastic. The characters are well developed and the story lines are, usually, very well plotted. The end of this one felt a little off though...leaving things more open than any of the previous books have. Knowing that I have to wait for months before getting my hands on the next book in the series made me like the ending even less.
I highly recommend Harrison to all that enjoy the Urban Fantasy/Dark Fiction/Romance genre. Start at the beginning of the series, though, because every book has some sort of connection to those that came before.

I love this series. I just posted this book on PBS only because I have the hardback version as well, lol. I love this series enough to buy the paperback too just for the included bonus short in this version =) This book is the best in the series so far, but DO NOT START WITH THIS BOOK! Get "Dead witch walking" and go from there, it's worth it to go in order. Kim Harrison is one of the best authors I've ever had the pleasure of reading. You'll love the series, trust me! It's so fun, with wonderfully written characters. Also, the world she created is amazing.

Not disappointing in the least! Well written, there's action, there's adrenaline, there's emotion, there's humor. It's pretty impressive to me that a bad-ass demon-fighting main character can give this reader misty eyes on occasion. I'm almost sorry that I read the hardcover - it seems like it will be forever now that I'll have to wait for the next book! And for the record: If I were needing to find a name for a young'un of my own, I'd definitely consider *Quen*!

Great book, most sets that have more then two books to it kind of get redundent well this set dose not. It just gets better and better.
This book was very exhilerating. The finale was, like, WOW! Rachel's story goes on to many other troubles that will leave you panting for more.
