Such a fascinating review of the history of cemeteries in the US. From non-acknowledgement of death at all to hide information from enemies to perpetual memorialization in cyberspace. I love the idea of green burials, but with the recent death of Jimmy Carter, I also see the purpose of keeping a physical space for people to mourn.
