"In the first chapter it appeared as if Beeke might take us down a moralistic road, but he soon turns from this and goes in a gospel-driven direction. In fact, there are a multitude of books out there of Christain living. Most books on sanctification (Christian living, holiness, prayer, etc.) are written very poorly, often promoting questionable if not unbiblical theology. However, we consider Joel Beeke one of the best writers on the subject and hope this ends up in the hands many, especially those who wish to develop true Christian piety and forsake worldliness.
