Re-read for me, hoping to find some inspiration for this year's Samhain celebration. Unfortunately this is more of an "Everybody's Book of Halloween" and is primarily about the history and varied cultural practices worldwide that led eventually to our generic present-day Halloween celebrations and symbols. There are a few little rituals, recipes and tidbits that I gleaned from the book for my own use, but it still wasn't quite what I was looking for. Still, I did enjoy this rather light, fluffy look at one of my favorite holidays.
