This was the first Rosina Lippi book I've read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It did have a pat ending but I didn't mind since I liked the characters so much. There were a few surprises along the way and I definitely would love to visit the square where the story takes place, I am sorry it's fictional.

One of our book club choices, but no one really got into it. The characters and sense of setting were just so-so. I put the book down after about 150 pages and didn't pick it back up again.

two flawed main characters who are perfect for each other and a wonderfully accurate description of the beauty of small-town Southern living. a very engaging and pleasant read

I liked this read,(this author also wrote Tied To The Tracks which i loved) It takes place in South Carloina and i love southern novels. This was 351 pages but it actually read very fast. I found the antique shop, called Cacoon a fun plot line, Julia gets to wear designer pajamas all day! How fun would that be!! Of course there is a love interest and John, the army brat, who's in town for business, sees Julia walking around on the street in jammies decides he needs to meet her. I found this fun and entertaining, i liked it alot.
