An amazing book. Sagan has a vision for the future of space travel. The book has many pics from the space probs from Viking, Apollo and Mariner. He addresses the thoughts about future space travel, the cost and how important it is to mankind. I am not sure I agree with his ideas, but they are reason for thought.
Book format makes it hard to read in bed! Pages are laminated make for a very heavy book, large book.

This is a very long, complex book, but still aimed to the average person. I managed to read the entire thing over many months.
It is very interesting and has a lot of good information and GREAT illustrations.
The only thing I have noticed is that this book with this ISBN can come in both hardcover and paperback. So watch out and be forewarned. Before you order it write to the sender to be sure it is hardcover. If you don't mind receiving a paperback, then this last sentence is not for you. Personally I like the paperback better than a hardcover. Paperbacks of this size are easier to handle. The paperback has everything that the hardcover has.
Enjoy!
