I don't consider this a cozy although there is more mystery that sex, murder, or mayhem. Interesting history and factual genealogical investigations made this a fascinating read for me as I am an amateur genealogist who loves British history.
This is the first of a series with a brainy female main character. It was very refreshing to be spared violence and equally exciting to be kept in suspense on so many levels.
The bibliography of sorts at the end was a very pleasant surprise; the book left me wanting to know more about the Pre-Raphaelite period and gave me a "jumping-off" point to start my research.
I want more Natasha Blake!

I had a hard time getting into this one. I don't know if it was the writing style, the characters or something else but I found it to be a difficult read. It never captivated me the way a lot of books do and I never felt anything for any of the chacacters. Too bad as the synopsis of the book sounded so great!
