Travis McGee slickly avenges a murdered friend. A great story.

I love the Travis McGee series so much I named my first-born Travis, however, this one was a little boring; if you're into real estate you'll probably like this book.

McGee is back, bedding the broads, solving a murder, and foiling the evil-doers. Unless you're a real estate and/or stock market buff, this one can get tedious. It's all land speculation, deals, and good old boys. Tie this is with a stock scam and that is about all. McGee is a tad overplayed in both of these markets to fathom. Of course, he has expert assistance. The book also seems to be a rehearsal for his last one, Barrier Island, that has a similar plot against crporate America. Not that they don't deserve every bit of it.
This book is mis-listed. Please see "Pale Gray for Guilt (Travis McGee Mysteries [Paperback])"
I READ HIS MYSTERIES YEARS AGO; CAME BACK TO THIS ONE AND STILL ENJOYED HIS WRITING, PLOT AND CHARACTERS. HE IS STILL ON HIS BOAT "BUSTED FLUSH". HE CAN HANDLE GOOD AND BAD WITH HUMOR AND CLEVERNESS TO FIND THE BAD GUY AND REWARD THE GOOD GUY (OFTEN A GOOD GIRL).. HE IS ALWAYS WORTH A SECOND GOAROUND..
