I have not yet seen the book but it received a favorable review, with its recounting of small-unit tactics in the Afghan War (2009) being especially noteworthy. LTC James Jay Carafano, the reviewer (Ground Commander Gives View of the War He Knew) emphasizes that this is the all-volunteer army in combat. See Army magazine, May 2016,p. 82.
