Non-fiction. On a quest to trace the origin of the panama hat in Ecuador, the author's quest brings him face to face with drug traffickers, zealous missionaries, Amazon prostitutes, and more than a few banana republics. All in all, an exceptionally entertaining adventure played out in a part of the world we rarely see.

A travel book with a difference. Ever wonder where Panama hats come from? Tom Miller did -- and when he learned that the answer was NOT Panama, he had to investigate. Here he takes the reader along on the journey, which is fascinating even if you care nothing for hats.
