This was my least favorite Iris Johansen book ever. She's usually a sure thing for me, but I really disliked this book. In fact, I didn't finish it. It's a 9 disc audiobook (unabridged) and I finished disc 6 and gave up on it. I disliked the female lead. SPOILER - I know she's supposed to be highly emotional and sensitive due to her special gift, but I found her highly emotional and highly annoying! She disgusted me in almost every word that left her mouth. And the lead male - I never identified with him or felt anything for him at all. He's a prop. Renata was the most interesting person to me. I'd read a book about her.
Great way to spend a long car ride! Really holds your interest right to the very end!
