I'm glad I stuck with this one. I didn't really get into the novel until the end of Chapter 4âshort chapters. I'd heard about this book and knew it was rated highly by some of the bloggers I like, so I was sure I'd enjoy itâand I did like it very much. It's quite an emotional story and I was able to connect with the characters as if they were real people. So, yes, I was completely pulled into the love story of Abigail and Jacob.
One of reasons I enjoyed Paper Hearts so much was the spiritual themes, which play a significant role in the story. I love how the story mirrors real life in that we can see how God always has a best plan and will work things out, if we choose to let Him.
I definitely recommend this book if you like contemporary romance.

Small business owner Abigail is about to lose her store due to a new landlord when she is recruited to the Valentine Volunteers. She discovers boxes of paper hearts with messages on them while fighting her new handsome landlord to keep her store.
I thought the book was good but the beginning was slow for me. The overall story was decent and had a mostly happy ending.
