I really enjoyed having this personal story about the Steins experiences in Paris. It added another piece to the delight of seeing the Stein Exhibit at the S.F. Museum of Modern Art. The author, Harriet Levy was a San Francisco native, which also added to the pleasure of the book. Knowing what life was like during the early 1900's in San Francisco added another dimension, bringing the story of the Steins up close and personal. The book is beautifully constructed and very readable.
