WOW! What a beautifully written book and story. While in the very first pages I wasn't sure about it, it picks up speed like a rollercoaster, and is written in what feels like waves of beautiful music. Erudite? Definitely. Not for the so-so reader. My first thought upon reading the last page was 'and now I have to read it again, even more slowly.' Thank you Mark Helprin!
