I've always loved books where the characters had use of more than just the normal five senses. Call them psychics, or whatever, they always fascinated me. I always wanted to have powers like that, just like I always wanted to run off and join the circus, or mutate and join the X-Men.
Reading books like this, lets me have that fantasy back for just a little while.
Not to mention the fact that it has to beautiful men banging each others brains out. That always puts a grin on my face.
All in all the book just made me happy. That's really all I'm looking for in a piece of fiction.

Book 1 in the psycop series. Introduces you to cops that use more then just their fives senses. Vic (the main character) is a Medium...he sees dead ppl. Other cops are human lie detectors, clairvoyents, and other psycic abilities. Each psycop is partnered with a Stiff (someone with absolutely NO psycic ability.) Vic is left to deal with a new stiff when his partner retires.
A very good read with Man on Man action, when Vic meats a Stiff from a different department. The stories are well written and keep you reading.

One of the best cop stories I have read in a long time, and yup, it's going on my top ten m/m list! Love the integration of psychic abilities, looking forward to reading more in the series.

For Among the Living:

This is probably my favorite m/m book so far! I really like this world and the characters. The idea of PsyCops is just so fun! And the female characters are awesome. I hope to see more of them.

I really liked the main character, Victor, in spite of (or because of) his insecurities. I think anyone can empathize with him for the basis of his insecurity - we're all clumsy sometimes, we all have something about ourselves that we're not sure of. Perhaps most of all though I loved him for his humor. He made me laugh at least four times that I remember, and I love that in any book.

I don't normally like guys like Jacob, and yet somehow he just worked here. I'd like to see him and Victor work it out more. Maybe Jacob can get him out of his shell s'more.

Lastly, the last sex scene was hot! That is all. =P
