Readers - let me preface this by saying that my personal opinion of this book is that it is an absolute classic and we will be reading about the O'Connor family for many years. These are the kind of books that you will save on your shelf and pass on to your daughters and granddaughters. Legacy books this classic do not come along very often - at all... so don't pass up the opportunity to get to know the O'Connors.

I was drawn into this book in a way unlike most books I've read lately - and I read a lot (24 books in January alone). I can not wait for the next installment of the O'Connor family and strongly encourage you to start now by learning about Faith, Charity and Collin!

Julie Lessman is an AMAZING author! I can't believe that this is her debut novel! Let me tell you, it is a book that you will not want to put down - so make sure that you start it when you have enough time to finish it in one sitting!

Faith O'Connor is a woman who has a strong faith in the Lord. A faith that was forged by the many trials she had to face as a young child, such as her twin sister dying from Polio. Faith was stricken with the same disease and was near death, but she survived and the only thing that remains is her slight limp.

Colin McGuire is the man that Faith has had a crush on since she was young, but no one knew - least of all Colin. So when Colin began dating Faith's younger sister Charity, sparks flew - in more ways than one!
With sister set against sister and WWI fast approaching, will this family survive?

I fell in love with these characters almost immediately and, by the time I reached the end, I wanted to pick up the next book right away - unfortunately for me, I had to wait almost a year to do it! The twists and turns in this novel are fantastic! I highly recommend that you read 'A Passion Most Pure' and make sure that you have 'A Passion Redeemed' ready to pick up as soon as you finish it!

I love inspirational fiction, but this one was EXTRA good. It made me cry several times and I couldn't put it down! I am very interested to seeing what happens to Charity, Mitch and the rest of the O'Connor family!

Julie Lessman does an excellent job in displaying how if you keep your heart set on God things will work out for you! A Passion Most Pure is a mix of Romantic Passion and A love for God that keeps you interested and emotionaly involved in this AMAZING book!

Once I started this book, I could not put it down. I absolutely love the O'Connor family and recommend this book as well as all the others by Julie Lessman. This book is written with such feeling; passion for God and family and friends. Prepare to sit back and enjoy the read. I sure did!
I downloaded this book as a freebie (Thanks, Julie!), even though I have the three books in this trilogy. It is easier for my arthritic hands to hold an e-reader as these books are lengthy and heavy for me to hold.
It is still available as a free download.
I noticed some negative reviews. Don't pay any attention to them. Julie addresses issues that face real people and shows how solutions to problems and struggles within self and between family members and friends are found at the throne of God.

World War I is in full force on the other side of the Atlantic, while in Boston the O'Connor family is dealing with a war of their own. Oldest daughter Faith has just joined the typing pool of the Boston Herald where her father, Patrick O'Connor, is the assistant editor. For as long as Faith can remember she has loved Collin McGuire, but Collin loves her sister Charity. Charity will do whatever she has to in order to get what she wants and make Faith's life miserable at the same time. When America enters the Great War, everything changes and both Charity and Faith must leave their home and go back to family in Ireland.

This is a sweeping historical novel that explores family dynamics, faith, conviction, and the call God places on the lives of those who choose to follow him. It is not always easy to stay true to God and oneself and the characters of Faith and Charity are almost two sides of the same coin. Author Julie Lessman has created a family that one wishes to belong to, even with its faults and failings. Is any family truly without conflict?
