If you enjoy comical books with quirky characters, this book is for you. I have enjoyed reading every book in this series. Of books 1-10, I think this book is the best so far.

From the very first chapter Andrews had me laughing out loud. Meg Langslow and her fiance Michael are finally moving into the house they bought together, when she comes home to penguins in the basement, courtesy of her father. It seems the local zoo has gone bankrupt and while the owner is trying to raise money to save it, Meg's dad has generously agreed to temporarily take on the penguins, llamas, camels, hyenas and anything else, all at her farmhouse of course. In the process of digging out a pond in the basement for the penguins, he unearths a body. It's another hilarious romp as Meg and Michael try to cope with the menagerie and solve the murder, while planning a family party to celebrate their engagement, which they secretly plan to sneak away from to elope. Andrews gets funnier and funnier with each addition to the series.

Another fun Meg Langslow adventure. This one has her wacky family congregating once again, this time for a house warming. Unfortunately the zoo in town has just gone bankrupt, and Meg's house becomes the new home to all kinds of exotic animals. Chaos and hilarity ensue while Meg is hot on the trail of another murderer. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

A delightful read. The humour does not detract from the mystery; even though I was laughing so hard there were tears running down my face.
Was not disappointed in this book. I have read most of the ooks in the Meg Langslow Series and this was one of the best. You get into the lives of the family and can almost imagine the surroundings in her book. Would recommend reading the entire series in order. You can't wait until the next one.

Even worse, the body turns out to be the zoo's owner. Now Meg has a few days to find the killer and solve her sudden animal problem or risk watching her carefully planned elopement fall apart. Can she do it?
The books in this series are always funny, and this book is no exception. I chuckled and laugh the entire way through. There are some great new characters that provide some of the best laughs of the book. And, of course, there are the antics of the animals as well.
The plot suffered a little at the expense of the comedy. It starts out strong and develops pretty evenly. But the ending seems rushed to me.
