Third of the great anthropologically based series beginning with the settlement of the epi glacial North American Continent and visiting tribal peoples ove the next few thousand years. I loved them all.

The authors are professional archaeologists, but the characters are vivid.
Pre-columbian american historical fiction. Designed to be educational and entertaining. I enjoyed it greatly.

Too much spiritual conjecture. I lost my faith in the truth as it dropped more and more into the realm of what the authors want to believe is true. I'm sure the spirituality is based on the facts as found through our own modern experiences with the People. I just couldn't stay in the story. It dripped with it. If you liked People of the Wolf, here's more of the same, no, actually More.

A sweeping epic of prehistory. PEOPLE OF THE EARTH brings the true story of the ancestors of today's Native American peoples to life in an unforgettable saga of hardship and passion, of a woman torn between two peoples and two dreams, of the two men who love and the third man who must have her, and of the vision given to the peoples long ago by the spirit of the wolf.

A great book if you Like Historical Fiction. Part of a series, make sure you'be read the previouse books first to gain a greater appreciation of the genre.
I loved this book.
This series is a bit dry, but enjoyable all the same.

This series is fascinating. I was dissapointed when I read the last book in the series. Being set during the time that it is there is a lot of violence at times. The charactors are memorable.
I rarely stop reading a book before finishing it, but this one was a exception. I found it dry and not at all what I expected. I was very disappointed.

part of the prehistic series
This is one book in a series of 10 - I haven't read it yet - I am trying to collect the entire series before starting it and inadvertently bought two copies of the same book.
