I had read all of the O'Gears books about original peoples here in the US. This book is the first book in their new series.
Honestly I found the book a bit disjointed at times, wondering who was speaking. It kind of jumped around and I got lost and had to go back to get my bearings. It was not cohesive enough.
The character of Gonda was one of my least favorite with his incessant whining, jealousy, distrust and his useless thoughts. Koracoo had to keep him focused many times as he would react without thinking first.
THe evil woman was very scary but laughable in a way as gullible men thought she could suck out their souls.
There was lots of treachery and fighting. I will probably read the next book but if it too is along the same vein, disjointed, I may just give up on this series.
