This book grabbed me right away. It was quite compelling but for about the first hundred pages I had no idea what was going on. I still had to keep reading because I had to know! And there were some creepy supernatural moments, too! It kept me awake pondering to the point of giving myself a headache trying to figure it out. Then we begin to get some answers as the pieces fall together. Aha, oh clever! A few more twists in the plot and it was good reading all the way up to (almost) the end. The ending I can't say really satisfied me. Still, the book is gripping and well done and I enjoyed over 300 of the 320 pages very much! The last few, I'm just not so sure...
For most part I liked this book. It had me sucked into it from the beginning. I was a little confused at first but I stuck with it and it all ironed itself out. There was a mystery/thriller part to the book and a supernatural part too. Both melded well with the mystery/thriller making the story move along. You just had to find out what was going on. The supernatural part left this eerie, unsettling feel in the air. The biggest downfall for me was the ending. Although I didn't hate it, it also was a suspenseful as the whole book. I was just expecting more. Also, the conversation at the end with Gabe and the Samaritan was a little irritating. The situation between the two boys were not the same and can't be compared in that way. Seemed like was unnecessarily thrown in there. Other than that, this was my first Tudor book and I look forward to more.

I think the concept of the story might've been a good one when reading the inside flap but by the half way mark it just was dragging out and you had no idea what this was really about, it has chapters of 3 different people and I never knew what was going on, then we get to 'the other people', (so this might be a spoiler, sorry) but then it gets into the 'dark web' and the supernatural but it just didn't keep my interest and I don't waste time on a book that at the half mark doesn't have me fully engaged in the story
